Are you always running around to take care of your children, your partner, and everybody else – but not yourself? Do you feel stressed and tired and at the same time you feel guilty that you are not doing enough? Which, in turn, makes you feel like you should be running even faster?

You could go on like this, but what would that bring you?

Do you feel like it may be time to change something? Are you ready to explore what strategies could be helpful to stop this endless cycle?

Join us on Wednesday for this introduction to Self-Compassion, where Marie Hobbs will teach you the basics of mindfulness and self-compassion in just one evening!

Mindfulness and self-compassion are not just skills but when practiced regularly become a way of life. If we can learn to motivate ourselves from a place of inner stillness and kindness maybe we become more authentic, calm and responsive. We’ve become too used to listening to the harsh self-critic that so often drowns out our wiser, quieter voice. Learning to pay attention in a more balanced way can mean we make decisions that are more closely aligned to the way we really want to live and more resilient to the stresses of the modern world. Marie hopes you will join her for this introduction evening to experience the difference that mindful self-compassion can bring to your life.

Marie Hobbs is from England and has lived in the Leiden area of the Netherlands for the last ten years. Currently she facilitates Mindfulness and Mindful Self Compassion courses and workshops, as well as mentoring people individually. She has background experience as an engineer, a facilitator of culture change in organisations and have been running her own mentoring and training business for the last 12 years. She is a mother of two teenagers. She lives and works in an international community, and aims to support people to establish new roots, knowing that the best home people have is the one they create for themselves in relationship with themselves.
